Living Room

Living Room before- newer addition so no hardwoods underneath (someday will switch the carpet).

Living Room in progress- hubby & I painted walls, I painted 2 murals, rug found on Craigslist for $45, 3’x3′ painting I did for Women in Freedom collection (worked on this until 4 in the morning during the 2 weeks we had before moving into house).

Living Room after from “ballroom”. Have blinds added since these photos (they’re in the holiday photos though) & the basketball goal isn’t behind the couch anymore; it’s outside. These are old photos.

Love our gas burning fireplace! I found the rocker on Craigslist for $65 & it goes perfectly with our furniture (!)- bought with my birthday money for my hubby’s birthday & he had been wanting a rocking recliner for a long time! It was even posted on my hubby’s birthday so it was definitely a God-thing! Sectional with chair & pillows (taken from sectional) from a JC Penney sale

Photo taken from corner with door leading to deck. Like I said, the basketball goal is no longer there & my kids now have a little library bookshelf that was given to us with Berenstain Bear books back there & just love playing back there in general! 🙂

That light on the chair is from our sky light. 🙂 Also a great feature!

I love this room! So homey! & to think, I had already painted the picture before owning this house & bought the rocker & a rug right before we moved here as well & already had the sectional & pillows from our apartment before. It all goes so perfectly! (Which obviously was intentional, but I think it’s just so awesome how it all came together!)

Right side of fireplace.

After we added blinds from! We didn’t have anything on our windows the 1st 5 months ’cause those nasty apartment blinds full of cobwebs were some of the 1st things to go!

Bay window with blinds that my hubby added (he did good)! Someday to maybe add a seat cushion, but probably not for a while! Got all these REAL wood blinds for around $300 from!

View from my hubby’s rocker in living room into serving area & dining room after updates on kitchen!
